    4.5 out of 5

Looove it! It's definitely a hidden gem just right around the corner of St. Peter's basilica. It is the perfect meal after a long day of walking and sightseeing in Rome. The food is freshly made in front of you. Service is quick!

My only complaint is the lack of space and seating. I have to take 0.5 points for that, but their sign clearly says "pasta-to-go" so they're not misleading. It's still difficult to go in and out of the place though... even just to go to the cashier or pick up your pasta. The space is so narrow that two people have to walk sideways to get in and out of the waiting / seating area.

Trust me, I read all the reviews. I thought "Oh, this must be a good, cheap grab and go pasta place! Great! It's right beside our AirBnB so we'll have to go try it!"

I wish that were the case.

The pasta is prepared right in front of you and takes a few minutes in the store. The prices are good (6€ a plate) and portions are large. But the pasta...

The pasta was quite undercooked. No, not al denté. I'm a fan of al denté, and was quite excited to dig in. This pasta was just undercooked. Hard, raw, and not even really hot; just lukewarm. The carbonara was the easiest to get though because it had thinner noodles, but still was unpleasantly hard. The strozzapreti pasta was. So. Hard. To. Get. Through. (no pun intended.) It was just so hard and uncooked. Same with the pappardelle.

The sauces, though, are alright. My brother really enjoyed his truffle sauce. The carbonara was too salty, the pesto was just slightly under average normal pesto.

Anyways, I'm pretty sure this is either a tourist trap based on its location, or our entire order (of five plates of pasta) was somehow screwed up, and not to par with normal quality. Grab a bite somewhere else.

After an amazing trip to the Vatican, my tour guide recommended coming here if we were looking for a delicious and inexpensive lunch.  When I got there it was a bit crowded, but the line moved very quickly.  There were only about 8 seats inside the restaurant and I managed to grab 2, but a lot of people were sitting on the steps outside so be prepared to have to wait for a seat or look for one somewhere else!
After ordering the Pappardelle al Ragù for just €6 (A GREAT DEAL FOR THE PORTION SIZE) I got to watch them make my pasta right in front of me. A short 5 minutes later they called my number and I finally got to dig in. The pasta was definitely thicker than what I usually prefer and there was only a little bit of sauce, but it was so good that I finished every bite!
If you're looking for a quick, inexpensive, and tasty lunch, I'd say look no further than Pastasciutta!

Visited the Vatican city and we had to stop by this freshly made pasta place! Lines went by really quick as this place is very efficient. You order with the cashier one of the six plates and whether you want to eat inside or outside. Take it to go and you'll get a bowl instead of a plate (plus they only have counter space for 5-6 people). They accept credit card and the pasta really does come out in 3-4 minutes! I would not order the pesto one - the pasta was almost al dented a bit too hard for me still. The Bolognese with meat sauce was REALLY GOOD. Definitely recommend that, the pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was delicious!
